Hybrid Working – Structured hybrid role

Configuration and Environments Engineer.
• Accountable for deployment and configuration activities related to Cash and Channels, with flexibility to cover other applications/product areas deployment activities when the need arises.
• Accountable for ancillary deployment activities including the planning and completion of OAT testing within agreed timescales.
• Responsible for carrying out various pre-implementation tasks, Implementation tasks, Post Implementation tasks.
• Responsible for adherence to and governance of, the PCB Release Strategy
What will you be doing?
• Managing non-production internal and external environments of Barclays Multi Account Platform and Virtual Accounts Management.
• Responsible for the maintenance of scripts that are used to build the non-production and production environments.
• Performance of OAT testing within agreed release timescales and to expected quality.
• Responsible for the various deployment deliverables for individual releases within agreed timescales
1. Representation of change at CAB as required
2. Change Deployment activities including progression of code deployment from various non prod environment to production environment
3. Responsible for Core implementation including creation of technical implementation plans
4. Support post-implementation issue coordination and review
5. Adherence to Change Management minimum acceptance criteria
• Work with Tech Partners, Release Managers, Product Managers and Change Management to determine appropriate deployment dates for Exceptional Planned Changes and Infrastructure change.
• Conduct/Participate in Post Release Reviews to identify lessons learnt and ensure all arising actions are completed
• To have a complete understanding of the release schedule for the next 12 months with release managers
• Accountable for continual improvement of Release process and all associated document templates and questionnaires.
• Assist in the identification, assessment and resolution of complex issues and problems relating to Client Treasury Services deployment events.
• Proactively identify and manage issues with the deployment process and help drive the delivery of service improvement plans. Contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of deployment standards and procedures.
What we’re looking for:
• Expert knowledge of Windows based technologies, .NET frameworks and MS Windows based operating system
• Expert knowledge of Linux based technologies, JAVA based frameworks and Linux based OS
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Excellent knowledge of AWS cloud stack
• Excellent knowledge scripting languages (CHEF, BASH, PowerShell)
• Education – BE/ Btech/ MCA/ BCA
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Good understanding of networks, distributed computer environments and how applications communicate across different areas
• Good Database administration techniques, able to maintain Oracle and/or MS SQL databases
• Good understanding of Web programming
• Good understanding of continuous integration pipelines, specifically towards Jenkins
